I have a honda shadow with V twin. and i tipped it over the other day. now i cant get it to stay on! i turn it on and it dies maybe 3 seconds later. and if i give it any gas it dies right away. well 20 mins ago i started it and for the 3 seconds i knew it would be on, i i put the choke on and it started up and started running fine. so i turned it off. and 10 mins later the engine wont even turn over. plz help!!!

Could be that the carby float is stuck. It will only be letting through a small amount of fuel so the bike dies as soon as you use more fuel than is getting into the bowl. The best way to check it is to loosen the drain screw and see if fuel comes out. If not, take off the carby bowl, remove the float and check the operation of the needle valve. It may just be jammed in the valve seat and should be easy to release by hand.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Honda! lol, just kidding...I ride a Yam Virago, so I can snicker...sounds like a carburation prob to me...if it cranks and runs for even 1 second, then the engine is good and fuel is getting to the carb. If the carb is damaged, it will not continue to deliver fuel properly. The engine not turning over could be a result of the batt going low due to repeated starts while you fiddled with it, and the choke seeming to help confirms my carburetor theory.
