78 cb750 carb rebuild

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but have had my 78 750k for a couple of years. Long story short, The bike had pre 76 carbs but started and ran alright. This spring I picked up some 78 carbs and have started rebuilding them. I bought some rebuild kits (part #16010-405-004) but they don't seem to have an O ring for the choke shafts. When I took them out there was some kind of felt wrapped around them. Anybody have any suggestions on what to replace the felt with?

Archery stores sell felt that is sticky on one side. This might help. Why did you buy a rebuild kit? Did you have missing or damaged parts?

Thanks for the reply. The rebuild kit just had 4 O rings, bowl and top gaskets.

I bought a set for my 750 awhile back. it didn't have the seals for the choke shaft either. Guess it doesn't need them. I don'tknow what you could replace them with.

Did you put yours back together without anything to seal the choke shafts?
