dr125 help

i have a 1986 dr 125 4 stroke im wanting to know if there is a adjustment setting for the timing sensor? im having trouble getting it to stay running for more than 10 to 20 minutes than it dies and wont start back up its getting spark and gas still and has very good compression. sucks not having the book
