50cc Bike Safety Equipment

I ride a 50cc bike to get around and am wondering how best properly dress for safety in the event of an accident. I do have a full-face helmet, and I try to be covered when riding. It doesn't accelerate fast, and doesn't have a very high top speed. What would be your suggestion?

You can't go wrong by adding a leather jacket (with armor) and some sturdy boots. Just because your bike doesn't go that fast doesn't mean it won't hurt if you go down.

And some quality gloves. It's natural to put your hands out when falling to try and catch yourself...imaging doing that while falling at 40 mph on the pavement.

Doh, how did I forget to mention gloves? I can't imagine riding without gloves...

I do wear a pair of leather weightlifting gloves. I'll get some armor soon. thanks for the replies!

Aren't weight lifting gloves fingerless? I would add some fingers to those gloves. Also even though you are only an a 50cc keep that visor flipped down all the time while riding.
