Default Lane splitting

So I was just curious how many people out there split the lane with other bikers. My friends and I usually ride pretty close together, but we have all been riding together for a while and I feel relatively safe in doing it. I know its not the safest thing to do but I feel like we are so much more visible to cars on the road if we are in a group. So far there haven't been any close calls(knock on wood) but I also respect the fact that it can cause disaster if you have just one weak rider with you. Any thoughts?

I sometimes do that if the road is wide enough, but only with one particular rider who I know & trust 100% on the road. I would not do it if I was with some of my other friends as I do not know them or what their next move will be.

I rode side by side with a friend of mine Sunday, but only if the road is wide enough, we got on some of the back roads here and we had to ride staggered. I am with kitty kat on this one, I will only do it with someone I know well.

Right on, I feel comfortable with one or two friends and thats it. But I sometimes see these crews of 20-30 bikes going down the road doing 80 and lanesplitting with the whole group, its wild to see.

When you ride with a group often enough, you can get used to it. In fact, in some MC clubs, when the club goes riding they do that (not the outlaw movie gangs but regular MC riders) I think it's pretty wild to see too, but just not for me.

Usually my friend and I lane split at stop lights in the city. But when doing it in moving traffic I take the lead since my bike is much louder and causes the car drivers to part a little and also be much more aware if they're changing lanes.

Lane splitting is crazy! Not me I am worried about. The driver in the cars are the ones.

I lane split with cars all the time. Same with all the other (most, except for ultra wide Harleys) bikes here, and cops.
Now, with a bike? Some do and some don't. I always take one side or the other of the lane when I see a bike and motion, if it seems he wants to split and pass.

Me and my wife ride side by side on back roads, but never on the highway.

When I'm on the highway lane splitting and see another bike in the vicinity I usually try to link up with them, I have never had a problem from the other biker by doing this. One time traffic was so bad, I was splitting with a guy on a R6 and a guy on a scooter, we came up behind a cop and had to wait, so we were putting along at 1mph behind the cop talking to each other.
