Hello, my name is Stoneface, and I would like to inform you of a group that I belong to. The Rescue Riders program was established to exemplify how bikers as individuals, and collectively, make our great nation a safer and more compassionate place to live.
We accomplish our mission by recruiting bikers into public service in support of each other, our communities and our nation. We do this by helping provide our volunteers with the tools and training needed to provide emergency assistance in times of need. Rescue Riders offer assistance on an individual basis as Good Samaritan's, and directly support professional emergency response organizations in times of need. Quite simply, Rescue Riders invest their time in helping those in need. As bikers, we have seen an alarming increase in motorcycle accidents and fatalities in recent years. Motorcycle fatalities were up 5% in 2006 over 2005. I am writing to you today to see if we can come speak to your group regarding the alarming increase in motorcycle accidents and fatalities. What we would like to talk to you about is what we, as bikers can do to help. I am sure you have had speakers come visit in years past and probably learned some wonderful information but did any of your previous speakers offer to pay for hands on training for your members? We want to invest in you, and provide free training which will be provided by Accident Scene Management for those of you who are committed to helping other bikers in times of need. Please take a look at the Rescue Rider website to learn more about the Rescue Rider program. Membership in the Rescue Rider program is free so please let me know if you and your organization would like to learn more. Thank you. Kevin "Stoneface" Rescue Rider |

Though there is a bit of a rule about solicitation on this site, I think this is such an important program and attitude for us bikers to have, that it's staying.
Folks, please do visit their site, and even if you don't become a member, knowing your CPR/1st Aid skills?...waaaaaay too important and waaaaay too easy. Do yourself and everyone else a favor--get trained and be ready. |

Anytime a member visits a website that is unknown to us, he takes a chance that he is being trolled. Free training in CPR and other emergency knowlege is provided free by the local volunteer fire company and EMS service. I don't see where you are offering anything not already available to any able-bodied person wishing to volunteer their time to help others. I will not delete your post even though it is in violation of our "No Soliciting" policy but I will warn members not to give up personnal information, and close the thread to posting.
