Default Rokker Company Jeans?

A friend of mine just purchased riding jeans from The Rokker Company and has been trying to sell me on them... i'm just wondering if anyone here rides with them at all. I hadn't heard of them before only a couple days ago, and they seem pretty pricey. He and his buddies swear by them though, so i'm just looking for some more input.
Any other alternate riding pant suggestions would be warmly welcomed. I'm looking for something that can be warn both on the bike and off to avoid carrying extra clothes.

Any help would be appreciated... Thanks!

I'll just offer you some of my experience, I commute to college so I also wanted riding pants that I could wear on and off the bike. Unfortunately I don't have any shops to go and try this stuff so I had to rely on reviews and the descriptions offered by whatever websites I was looking to buy from.

First pair I got were the Olympia Mustang pants from motogearoutlet.com for $50. For the money, these are pretty good. My complaint is that they aren't as protective as I would like. The knee armor in them is useless, I removed it and bought Icon Field Leg Armor. The hip armor is very, very minimal, will just barely cushion my fall if I happen to land on the very small spot that it covers.

They are at least somewhat waterproof, I've worn them in light rain with no problems. They are decently breathable, I don't sweat much in them, the Icon leg armor does make my calves sweat though. They are comfortable to ride and walk around in. The outer fabric is nylon, I don't know how well it would hold up in a slide, but I'm thinking they'd be a little better than regular jeans.

Overall I'd say these pants are worth $50, but only $50; they simply don't offer much IMO.

My second try was Teknic Chicane pants, bought from newenough.com for $60. My opinion is divided on these pants, I guess I could say that they are good cool and wet-weather riding pants but not great for walking around in. They are completely wind and waterproof but they also don't breath at all, so after a day at school my legs are wet with sweat and just reek of BO. They are comfortable but I think I should have gone with a size smaller than I did, though with them being slightly large they will work great as overpants when it gets colder. A nice feature they have is a strap at the bottom of each leg that goes under you foot and holds the pants down to your ankle. This keeps them looking neat, and also helps deal with wind and water.

The knee armor is much better than what the Olympia came with and I don't feel the need to use the Icon armor. The hip armor is slightly better. The outer fabric is Cordura which from what I've heard gives decent protection in a slide.

Over all, they're good riding pants for the wet and cold but not great for walking around in, and not great for warm weather. Now that it's getting near and above 70 degrees out I've stopped wearing them.
