OK this is my story...Have never rode a motorcycle before. Am taking the MSF coarse the end of August. Currently have my temps.
I was looking at a 1980 Honda CM400E that someone I know is selling for a friend, but not sure if I should spend the extra money and get the Honda Shadow 750 Spirit that I have been dreaming of. The CM400 requires nothing and is in good shape. On one hand I know I should get the CM400 but the Shadow is such a cool bike. Or should I buy the CM400 and put some money towards some gear. Ride it for a year then invest in the Shadow. I am sure it will be a blast either way. My riding will be mostly in town but can see an occasional highway ride. Thanks for any suggestions. Brian |

I think I made a desicion. Buy the CM400 learn to ride then either convert to a Cafe Racer or sell and by another bike. This way I will not go cheap on safety gear. I am taking the MSF coarse in 2 weeks and am super pumped, can't wait.
