Hello ladies and gents. Complete novice to riding. Going to take the MSF class in a few weeks. No bike yet.

Welcome to the forum!

Be sure to ask a lot of questions and get as much practice in as you can once you get your bike.

Afternoon Lefty and welcome to the Forum! :D

Heh, heh... I'm gonna' take a wild guess and say you you might be a 'Ham Radio / 2-Meter Band' operator for a hobby ("Whiskey Tango Foxtrot")?! Either that or just slipping in 'FTW' to see what the 'Moderation' is like in here?! :D Cool either way...

Enjoy the forum,
LRG

Very Cool! I wasn't sure if anyone did that anymore, with Cell Phones and everything else they got these days. Natch' I loved the CB (Citizen Band) craze of the 70's but wanted to move up to something more 'serious' (Ham Radios of course) someday, but never did. :o I'm wondering if (?) during times of disaster perhaps Ham Radio Operators still aren't the only useable means of Communications available?! Sometimes the Old School still is a Better one?! Nuff' said.

LRG

Footnote: Sigh... I actually did have a FCC CB License and Call Sign / Letters back then (before the Feds said ya' didn't need one for that Com Band) but long since forgotten. Dang.... :o

We (hams) still practice for disasters and have a section (ARES) Amateur Radio Emergency Services dedicated to emergency communications. If you google ARRL they have all the info on anything you would ever need.

Well Lefty if you'll read the instructions on top you'll see that Introductions are to be made AFTER you start riding a motorcycle. I'll move this thread to the proper forum.
