My First Bike, Need suggestions of what you think of it (pics)

I am just about finished fixing up an old bike I bought from someone for 100 bucks. Ive put about 4-500 dollars into it so far and its almost in riding condition. Its an old 1985 Honda Interceptor vf500. this is how the bike originally looked.






Since then its been worked on alot and given a new look!!!

So I just wanna know if there is anything special I should know about this bike. Im a first time rider who is eager to learn everything there is to know. I have been told to be very careful with the bike cause it has alot more sensitive handling, but dont worry cause i plan to take it slow anyway. So ya any info would be nice or you can any questions or comment on the pics :)

don't know anything bout sportbikes, but I think you did an awesome job on the reconditioning so far.

Well thanks, So far i havent had to replace any major parts just the standard stuff like new battery and spark plugs and stuff. But one thing that sucks is I have to drain a bunch of money on a Master Clutch. Old one was dead.So I had to take it in to get it rebuilt. But after that the bike should be good to go :)

I think that bike looks FAAAARRR too dangerous for you. You should probably get like a 50cc moped to learn on. I'll do you a favor and take that bike off your hands. It's for your safety, really.

Very nice... What happened to the front fender? Older bikes need a thorough going over... Not just paint and polish... I would change out all fluids especialy the Brake Fluid and lube all cables and bearings... Good luck with the new ride.

GREENMAN,.......I'm not one for sport bikes,......but you did a great job on it. Like the color combination. I especially like the green. It's a real nice ride.
