Damn, how'd they wedge that in there? And why no pictures with the fairings off so you can see the engine?

I'm almost certain that was in a magazine a while back... although i doubt its too much faster than a stock gixxer 1000

Except that it's 30lbs lighter than a busa with the same engine?

I wouldn't count on that. In all of the shootouts and races the busa usally comes out on top. Now its in a lighter chassis....

You'de think they would have included some motor shots for something that "special".

i run a dyno here at work, and every single equally modded busa i've had on has been beaten by a equally modded gsxr 1000... so that with the extra weight and lower power output i would think that bike is actually slower than a 1000

i've never seen a busa come out on top in a shoot out either, its usually tied, or one will win by .01 literally... against a busa it would win for sure b/c your right its ligther, but if your comparing it against a gixxer 1000 its actually heavier since the 750 only weighs like 5 lbs less to begin with

If Im not mistaken, one came out in Super Streetbike not that long ago that applies to the comment you just made. Stretched/and tuned GSXR1000 vs Busa. I wanted the Gixxer to win, but it didn't. and they usually don't.
But since you run a dyno then this should look familiar.
Busa: 158.0 @ 9750 98.4 @ 7000 hp/tq
031k: 152.1 @ 11,000 78.0 @ 8250 hp/tq
But the busa weighs more.
This is a tired debate, and I don't feel like fighting it. I don't own either one, so over all I don't really care. But I think a 190+hp 1400cc busa motor in a GSXR750 would absolutely demolish a GSXR1000.
