Default 1976 Elsinore 175 w/250 original miles

I have a 1976 Elsinore 175 w/250 original miles.

The odometer and triopodometer match.... I rode it for about 15 miles about 6-10 years ago - other than that - its been sitting since 1976. The chrome has small rust spots and the wheels have oxidation on them and the tires are dry rotted. It has a 1" dent in the gas tank. Other than that is really nice.

I took it to teh shop to get it running last week. THey have not started work on it yet.

I was wondering whether I should actually drive this thing or if its kinda rare and valuable.

Thanks for the input

An Elsinore with a speedometer? yeah that would be rare indeed.

What you have is a Honda MR 175. They were a overbored/stroked and detuned version of the CR125-M. Came with a headlight, tail light. NOT street leagal. They were made in 75 and 76 ONLY. They are not " rare" BUT many parts for them are!! You can't get rods, crank pin and thrust washers or air filter element. However a lot of the CR goodies will bolt right up. By installing a pipe, 34-36mm mikuni, opening up the ex. port 2 degrees and milling the head you can make these foofy little bikes howl like a banshee!!
