The Hyosung Trend Killer was shown at Intermot by MMS Cycles, one of Hyosung’s dealers from Germany. The Trend Killer is basically a highly modified Hyosung GV650. It appears to include items such as twin exhaust, custom wheels, LED lights, superbike bars, and a 240 rear tire just like the Suzuki M109R. The whole package makes for a quite good looking bike.

MMS Cycles has made the parts available so current GV650 owners can build their own “Trend Killer”. All the changes are simply cosmetic.

If enthusiasts continue to support the Korean motorcycle brand like this, then it might become the big five instead of the “big four”. There is already quite a few dedicated Hyosung fans, and the brand may be able to gain worldwide acceptance. Recently many of the Japanese manufacturers have been showing customized bikes such as this one to give potential buyers ideas about how they can personalize the bike to be their own.

This is a pretty cool commercial for the smaller 2006 Suzuki GSX-R’s.   I’ve never actually seen it on tv though.

Apparently this is the longest bike in the world, it is officially registered by Guinness book of World records as such.
It’s creator was Oleg “Leshij” Rogov from Tver city, a small town near Moscow. He was a big biker fan since his childhood. One day, day he was inspired to build the world’s longest motorcycle (probably an alcohol induced inspiration by his own admission).
He planned the build of the bike for ever two years. When he finally built the bike it was 31 feet 4 inches long (9 metres 57 cm). After all his work on the bike was complete he sent his claim to the Guinness book of world records and it became officially registered as longest bike in the world. However, this summer he go into an accident and died, but his creation still lives on.
This bike looks very similar to the Russian Bohmerland to me. I guess Russian’s have a thing for long bikes, and being one of the largest countries in land size they might be the only place that could handle bikes this bike.

Motorcycle Awareness 70’s Style

The following video is a British motorcycle awareness Ad from the 70s. It has lyrics by T Rex. Ironic that a motorcycle safety video is about over taking a van. People would probably laugh if this ad was played today.
