Clutch Slips When Accelerating

  • No Free Play
  • Discs worn
  • Springs weak
  • On Semi-Dry clutch machines (Buell & Harley-Davidson) excessive oil in the chain case has contaminated the clutch plates.

Clutch will not disengage

Motorcycle creeps with clutch disengaged

  • Too much free play
  • Plates warped
  • In non wet clutch (BMW, Moto Guzzi) motorcycles worn splines.

Excessive lever pressure

  • Clutch Cable kinked, damaged or dirty
  • Lifter mechanism damaged

Clutch operation feels rough

  • Outer drum slots rough
  • Dirty clutch cable
