The Ducati ST2 was a v2, four-stroke Sport touring motorcycle produced by Ducati between 1997 and 2003. It could reach a top speed of 137 mph (220 km/h). Max torque was 61.96 ft/lbs (84.0 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 81.27 HP (60.6 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled v2, four-stroke. A 94.0mm bore x 68.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 944.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.

The bike has a 6-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 170/60-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Showa fully-adjustable upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Sachs fully-adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The ST2 was fitted with a 5.55 Gallon (21.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 460.77 pounds (209.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.3 inches (1430 mm) long.

The 1997 MY Ducati ST2 has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, fuel-injected, 944cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerhouse, paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can reach a maximum power output of 83 horsepower and 84 Nm of torque.

This sport tourer also comes with standard features such as a 43mm Showa fully-adjustable upside-down fork, a fully-adjustable Sachs monoshock with progressive linkage as a rear suspension, a full-fairing with an adjustable windscreen, an analogue and digital instrument cluster, Brembo brakes with dual front discs, Marchessini three-spoked wheels and a dual seat with passenger grab handles.
