An American-made competitor to the Harley in the late 1990s. Harley-Davidson's turnaround in the 1980s and later success attracted some entrepreneurs into investing in a home-built competitor, notably the Polaris company (which makes the Victory) and the Hanlon brothers, who revived the Excelsior-Henderson name around a brand new 84ci (1386cc) V-twin. Production began in 1998.
