1943 Indian 741 Scout

With Harley-Davidson monopolizing the U.S. military market, Indian concentrated on a motorcycle that would be appealing to our European allies. The 741 was basically a Junior Scout in Army Olive Drab. Large numbers of these machines were sold overseas to British, European, and Australian governments. While low powered the Scout was small and light, making it an ideal machine for escorting slow moving convoys.

In Popular Culture[edit | edit source]
