The engine was a Air Cooled cooled Four Stroke, single Cylinder, OHV. The engine featured a 8.5:1 compression ratio.

Drive

Power was moderated via the Wet, multiplate.

Chassis

It came with a 90/90 -19 front tire and a 100/90 -19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 280mm disc in the front and a Foot operated, 153 mm drum in the rear. Royal Enfield entered a new era with the Electra , literally. Not only was the new Lean-Burn AVL engine first introduced on this model, but the Electra was also Royal Enfield’s first foray into 70’s styling.
