Talk:Honda VT1100C

I have a question about lowering the height on this model. I am currently rebuilding my 1985 Honda Shadow 1100 and as I have damaged knees want to lower the height some what from the seat to the ground. Other than reupholstering the seat with less foam, can you safely lower the front forks an inch or two? How about keeping the rear shocks set to #1?? Any other possibles??
