The '''[[Honda]] CB1100 EX''' was a in-line four, [[four-stroke]] Sport Bike [[motorcycle]] produced by [[Honda]] between 1980 and 2019. It could reach a top speed of 176 mph (283 km/h). Max [[torque]] was 67.34 ft/lbs (91.3 Nm) @ 5500 RPM. Claimed [[horsepower]] was 86.63 HP (64.6 KW) @ 7500 RPM.  

==Engine==
The engine was a oil & [[air cooled]] in-line four, four-stroke. A 73.5mm [[bore]] x 67.2mm [[stroke]] result in a [[displacement]] of just 1140.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin [[cam]] (dohc).  

==Drive==
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multi-plate wet clutch.  

==Chassis==
It came with a 110/80-r18 front [[tire]] and a 140/70-r18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. floating discs. four-piston calipers. abs. in the front and a single disc. single-piston. abs. in the rear. The front suspension was a  41mm conventional fork with adjustable spring preload while the rear was equipped with a twin shocks with adjustable spring preload. The CB1100 EX was fitted with a 4.44 Gallon (16.80 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 571.0 pounds (259.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 58.66 inches (1490 mm) long.

The Japanese company Honda has created only 4050 units of the CB 1100 R sport touring bike, all of them produced between 1980 and 1983.

The Honda CB 1100 F, the 1983 model, came with a 20 liters fuel capacity and an engine which could develop 110 horsepower at 8500 rpm.

Thanks to its liquid cooled, four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder engine the 1997 model of the CBR 1100 XX Super Blackbird is able to reach a top speed of 295 km/h.

The CB 1100 R has never been manufactured as a series motorcycle as the Japanese company only made it for the first time in 2007 as a prototype.

The first CB 1100 F was presented in 2007 at the 40th edition of the Tokyo Motor Show but the Japanese company has never improved the prototype in order to create a new motorcycle series.

An exclusive treat for European markets only, the 2013 CB1100EX brings even more retro styling elements in the spotlight, making this new air-cooled CB shine even brighter. The Japanese engineers from the House of Tokyo have created the 2015 MY Honda CB 1100 as an homage to the CB series, series recognized worldwide as capable, reliable and fun street bikes. This machine has an air-cooled engine, and design features inspired from the 50 years of CB history, as well as all the perks and comfort level that come with 21st century technology.

The new 2017 Honda CB1100RS, which it added to the lineup alongside a refresh to the base model CB1100EX. The base model EX gets the same new tank, but ditches the fancy paint. It gets LED lights front and rear, but keeps the standard indicators, and it retains the previous model's 18 inch wheels, suspension, and brakes. It does, however, get the slipper clutch and new exhaust.

For 2017 the CB1100 EX gets all the same upgrades as the RS, but continues on with redesigned 18-inch spoke wheels wearing 110/80 R18 and 140/70 R18 tires. Smaller aluminum hubs lace the wheel rim with 40 longer stainless steel (rather than 48 before) zinc-plated spokes. Twin 296mm floating discs up front are mated to four-piston Nissin calipers, with a 256mm disc and single-piston caliper at the rear. ABS is standard.
