The '''[[KTM]] 990 Adventure''' was a twin, [[four-stroke]] Enduro [[motorcycle]] produced by [[KTM]] between 2006 and 2013. Max [[torque]] was 73.76 ft/lbs (100.0 Nm) @ 6750 RPM. Claimed [[horsepower]] was 110.9 HP (82.7 KW) @ 4000 RPM.

The engine was a [[liquid cooled]] twin, four-stroke. A 101.0mm [[bore]] x 62.4mm [[stroke]] result in a [[displacement]] of just 999.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin [[cam]] (dohc).

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc clutch / hydraulically operated.

It came with a 90/90-21 front [[tire]] and a 150/70-r18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. floating brake calipers and brake discs in the front and a single disc. floating brake caliper and brake disc in the rear. The front suspension was a  wp suspension up side down 4860 mxma pa while the rear was equipped with a wp suspension pds 5018 dcc pa. The 990 Adventure was fitted with a 5.15 Gallon (19.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 456.36 pounds (207.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 61.81 inches (1570 mm) long.

The 990 Adventure is a revised version of the big 950 Adventure.  The 990 has electronic fuel injection, a regulated catalytic converter and an ABS System, has the LC8 engine, with an increased displacement of 999 cc. The KTM 990 Adventure comes in two varieties: the KTM 990 Adventure S and new “Dakar-Design”.
