The '''[[Kawasaki]] KLX250''' was a single cylinder, [[four-stroke]] [[Enduro]] [[motorcycle]] produced by [[Kawasaki]] between 1980 and 2019. It could reach a top speed of 73 mph (118 km/h). Max [[torque]] was 15.12 ft/lbs (20.5 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed [[horsepower]] was 21.05 HP (15.7 KW) @ 7500 RPM.  

==Engine==
The engine was a [[liquid cooled]] single cylinder, four-stroke. A 72.0mm [[bore]] x 61.2mm [[stroke]] result in a [[displacement]] of just 249.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin [[cam]] (dohc).  

==Drive==
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.  

==Chassis==
It came with a 3.00-21 front [[tire]] and a 4.60-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. dual-piston in the front and a single disc. single-piston in the rear. The front suspension was a  telescopic fork/10.0 in while the rear was equipped with a uni-trak. compression damping: 20-way. rebound damping: 20-way. spring preload: fully adjustable.. The KLX250 was fitted with a 2.03 Gallon (7.70 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 277.78 pounds (126.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.3 inches (1430 mm) long.

The new and versatile 2013 MY Kawasaki KLX250S is a dual-purpose bike with all the credentials of both an off-road/ enduro and a small tourer. 

Powered by a liquid-cooled 249cc single-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed transmission, it can provide fast acceleration for thrilling straight-line runs on the dirt track and well-mannered power deployment for strolling alongside forest trails or slow-traffic city roads.

The 43mm inverted front forks along with the Uni-Trak rear suspension provide excellent handling and comfort. The diamond high-tensile steel frame is rigid and was developed with no downtubes, enabling a lower engine placement, thus lowering the bike's center of gravity with enough ground clearance.

The new dual-purpose 2014 MY Kawasaki KLX250S was originally designed as a road version of the larger KLX300R. The 4-stroke 249cc single engine has been engineered for flawless torque delivery across the entire rev range. The six-speed transmission ensures both the brutal grunt needed to tackle steep uphill trails and relaxed riding along winding countryside roads. And in the city, the crisp acceleration will get one through slower traffic with ease.

Feeling at home on the road or the trail, the KLX250S, comes standard with a 43mm inverted cartridge fork and Uni-Trak rear suspension for a smooth ride on all types of terrain. The diamond frame allows lower engine placement, so the bike is more stable when enjoying a race on the dirt.

The Kawasaki Digital Fuel Injection system sprays fuel from a 10-hole injector, with Kawasaki claiming easier starting, smooth idling and improved performance while consuming less fuel. The electrically started 249cc engine is otherwise unchanged from when we last saw the KLX250 in 2014. The engine is paired to a six-speed transmission with a revised shift drum for a firmer feel when shifting gears.
