The NSU Prima V was a single cylinder, two-stroke scooter motorcycle produced between 1956 and 1964. It could reach a top speed of 56 mph (90 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 9.25 HP (6.9 KW) @ 5200 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 62.0mm bore x 57.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 175.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 6.4:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 4-speed transmission. The final drive was via shaft drive (cardan).
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.50-10 front tire and a 3.50-10 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The Prima V was fitted with a 3.17 Gallon (12.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 304.24 pounds (138.0 Kg).
