The Velocette Venom was a single cylinder, four-stroke allround motorcycle produced between 1955 and 1969. It could reach a top speed of 99 mph (160 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 33.26 HP (24.8 KW) @ 6200 RPM.
Engine
The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 86.0mm bore x 86.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 499.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 8.0:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).
Drive
The final drive was via chain. Power was moderated via the dry-three plate.
Chassis
It came with a 3.25-19 front tire and a 3.25-19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic while the rear was equiped with a swingarm with coil-over shocks. The bike weighed just 390.22 pounds (177.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 54.76 inches (1391 mm) long.
