The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, single-cylinder, OHC. The engine featured a 9.0:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Wet, multiplate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 2.75-21 front tire and a 120/80-8 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc 2 piston caliper in the front and a Single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Swinging arm. The XR230R was fitted with a 8.7 Liters / 2.3 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 122 kg / 269 lbs.
