The Can-Am/ Brp Outlander 500 XT EFI was a V-twin, liquid-cooled, SOHC, 8-valve (4-valve/cyl) ATV produced by Can-Am/ Brp in 2009.
Engine[edit | edit source]
A 81.3mm bore x 81.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 499.6 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 2w/4w shaft driven with Visco-Lok front differential transmission. Power was moderated via the Automatic CVT.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 25 x 8 x 12 front tire and a 25 x 10 x 12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 inboard hydraulic discs in the front and a 1 inboard hydraulic disc in the rear. The front suspension was a MacPherson while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing arm Independent. The wheelbase was 50.98 inches (1295 mm) long.
2009 Can-Am/ Brp Outlander 500 XT EFI[edit | edit source]
The 2008 Can-Am Outlander 500 XT is a half-liter class ATV created for off-road fun and at the same time capable of handling all the rough treatment outdoor work chores come with. Selectable 2/4WD and differential locking, engine braking and serious towing capacity are all there to offer exceptional fun during forest trail weekends and reliable, work-oriented brawn, too.
If you plan to take this ATV on a longer trip into the wilderness, you'll surely appreciate the generous loading capacity of the dual steel racks: more than 135kg of gear can be loaded on them, and therefore some extra fuel is no longer a problem. And with handlebar deflectors, front and rear bumpers and a powerful winch, the 2008 Can-Am Outlander 500 XT is even more fun.
