On carburetors with independent floats, the float height is measured from the main jet base to the top of the float tongue. Be sure that both arms of the float tongue measure equally. This is specified as method "B". Method "C" measures from the top of the float tongue tothe float bowl gasket base. Check the service manual for the correct method to use.
