The engine was a Air cooled cooled Two stroke, piston valve, single cylinder.
Drive
Power was moderated via the Wet, multiplate.
Chassis
It came with a 2.25-17 front tire and a 2.50-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum, 110 mm / 4.3" (PD: Single 220 mm / 7.7" disc) in the front and a Internal expanding drum, 110 mm / 4.3" in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork, oil damped (PD: rubber muffler covering forks) while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm, oil damped (PD: shocks/springs). The A50 P/PD was fitted with a 7.5 L / 2.0 US gal fuel tank.
