Drive
The bike has a 3-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.
Chassis
It came with a 2.25x18 front tire and a 2.50x17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm, twin shocks. The wheelbase was 45.71 inches (1161 mm) long.

Ducati launched in 1962 the 80 Setter (Super Falcon 80 in the America) at the same time with 48 Sport. This model failed to be successful.
