It came with a Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 27 x 9 x 14 in front tire and a Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 27 x 11 x 14 in rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 214 mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic twin-piston calipers in the front and a single 214 mm ventilated disc brake with hydraulic twin-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a double A-arm, FOX 2.0 PODIUM RC2 Piggyback shocks while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI), FOX 2.0 PODIUM RC2 Piggyback. The Commander 1000 XT-P was fitted with a 2.64 Gallon (10.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 75.79 inches (1925 mm) long.
2015 Can-Am/ Brp Commander 1000 XT-PEdit
The 2015 Can-Am Commander 1000 XT-P has been designed to be used on the most remote work sites or the most harsh off-road tracks around the world. It comes standard with off-road enhancing features such as Fox 2.0 Podium RC2 piggyback shocks, 12" beadlock wheels with Maxxis Bighorn tires mounted on them, a heavy-duty front bumper, rock sliders and mudguards, a front sway bar, as well as technologies such as a tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering, a Visco-Lok QE auto-locking front differential, and an Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC).
At its heart lies a powerful, 85 horsepower, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 976cc, Rotax V-twin powerhouse paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
