The Horex Imperator was a single cylinder, four-stroke allround motorcycle produced between 1955 and 1960. It could reach a top speed of 84 mph (135 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 18.51 HP (13.8 KW) @ 6790 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. The engine featured a 7.5:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).

Drive

The final drive was via chain.

Chassis

Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a hydralic telescopic forks while the rear was equiped with a twin shock-swingarm. The Imperator was fitted with a 4.49 Gallon (17.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 432.11 pounds (196.0 Kg).
