The AJS JSM50 is a single cylinder, two-stroke super motard motorcycle produced between 2012 and 2016. It could reach a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 4.56 HP (3.4 KW) @ 6800 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 56.0mm bore x 49.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.3 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead cams (ohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain. Power was moderated via the wet. multi-plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 110/70-17 front tire and a 130/70-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equiped with a single shock. The JSM50 is fitted with a 2.25 Gallon (8.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighs just 231.49 pounds (105.0 Kg). The wheelbase is 55.12 inches (1400 mm) long.

The 2012 MY AJS JSM Motard has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, two-stroke, 49cc, single cylinder lump mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can reach a maximum power output of 10 horsepower at 6800 rpm.

It boasts a youthful, aggressive look, that will fit perfectly into the urban jungle, and comes standard with features such as a 38mm telescopic fork, a rear monoshock suspension, front and rear disc brakes, blacked-out, lightweight, cast-aluminum wheels with red pin-striping on them, a dual seat and a blacked-out, high-mounted exhaust system.

The 2013 MY AJS JSM Motard is an entry-level supermotard, suitable for even the youngest of riders, and is a suitable machine for both daily commutes, as well as the occasional track Sunday. It boasts standard features such as a blacked-out, high-mounted exhaust, front and rear disc brakes, a 38mm telescopic front fork coupled to a monoshock in the rear, plus blacked-out, lightweight, cast-aluminum wheels with red pin-striping on them.

In the tech/engine department, it sports a liquid-cooled, two-stroke, 49cc, single cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 10 horsepower at 6800 rpm.
