The Amazonas 1600 was a four cylinder boxer, four-stroke Cruiser motorcycle produced by Amazonas between 1978 and 2001. It could reach a top speed of 90 mph (145 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 63.56 HP (47.4 KW) @ 4600 RPM.

1978 - 1990 Amazonas 1600

The Amazonas is a Brazilian-built motorcycle manufactured from 1978 to 1990. Considered one of the world's heaviest production motorcycle because of its 800 pounds, the bike used a modified 1600 cc Beetle engine. Being so huge, the machine had the VW transmission's reverse gear which proved to be very useful.
