The '''[[Aprilia]] RSV4''' was a v4, [[four-stroke]] Sport Bike [[motorcycle]] produced by [[Aprilia]] between 2009 and 2019. Max [[torque]] was 84.82 ft/lbs (115.0 Nm) @ 10500 RPM. Claimed [[horsepower]] was 196.73 HP (146.7 KW) @ 13000 RPM.  

==Engine==
The engine was a [[liquid cooled]] v4, four-stroke. A 78.0mm [[bore]] x 52.3mm [[stroke]] result in a [[displacement]] of just 999.6 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin [[cam]] (dohc).

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiplate wet [[clutch]] with mechanical slipper system..  

==Chassis==
It came with a 120/70-zr17 front [[tire]] and a 200/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. floating stainless steel discs with lightweight stainless steel rotor with 6 studs. brembo radial callipers with 4 diam. horizontally opposed 32 mm pistons. sintered pads. axial pump master cylinder and metal braided brake hoses. in the front and a single disc. abs. brembo floating caliper. in the rear. The front suspension was a  öhlins fork with tin surface treatment. forged aluminum radial caliper mounting bracket. completely adjustable spring preload and hydraulic compression and rebound damping. while the rear was equipped with a double braced aluminum swingarm; mixed low thickness and sheet casting technology. sachs monoshock with piggy-back, fully adjustable in: spring preload, hydraulics in compression and rebound. aps progressive linkages.. The RSV4 RR was fitted with a 4.89 Gallon (18.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 390.22 pounds (177.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.65 inches (1439 mm) long.

The 2009 MY Aprilia RSV4 R is one of the more accessible and tamed superbikes from the House of Noale, both in terms of performance as well as the price tag. At its heart, lies a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, V-four cylinder powerplant mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 180 horsepower and 115 Nm of torque. 

Standard features include a 43mm Showa upside-down fork, a Sachs adjustable monoshock in the rear with Aprilia Progressive System (APS), a Brembo braking system with dual 320mm discs in the front, an aerodynamic full-fairing with a small windscreen, a digital instrumentation panel with an analogue tachometer, and a single seat.

The 2009 MY Aprilia RSV4 Factory is about as close to a WSBK-grade machine one could purchase, that can still be rode on public roads. It has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 999cc, V-four cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can reach a maximum power output of 180 horsepower and 115 Nm of torque. 

Being a Factory model, it boasts the best and latest technologies and parts from the House of Noale, such as a 43mm Ohlins upside-down fork, an Ohlins monoshock with APS and piggy-back cylinder, a Brembo braking system with dual, large 320mm discs in the front and a single unit in the rear, carbon-fiver body-parts, a special, non-slip seat and a digital instrumentation panel.

The RSV4 is the pure, unadulterated racing character in a bike which is designed to offer top- class WSBK-grade performance to the skilled rider. Available in both street trim and a racing livery, the 2008 RSV4 brings forth the adjustable-architecture frame which allows technicians to alter the headstock position and angle, engine height and swingarm pivot height.

Not exactly the best commuter, the 2008 Aprilia RSV4 will instead shine on the track or on the twisties, while it adjustable features will tailor both ergonomics and performance to the rider's preference. If you're not a WSBK rider, this is as close as one can get to a pro's machine.

The Special Edition of the Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC was created to celebrate the worldwide domination in the SBK championship. The bike is as close to Maxi Biaggi's winning motorcycle as a street-legal machine can be, and many of its parts and components are in fact racing-grade items.

Discerning riders can now alter and tweak a plethora of variables in performance and handling, allowing them to tailor the response of the bike according to their own preferences. Traction, wheelie and launch controls can be altered individually, and quickshift is standard.

ATC: Aprilia Traction Control automatically adjusts to different types of tires, with 8 settings conveniently selectable while racing from a joystick on the left handlebar without turning down the throttle;
AWC: Aprilia Wheelie Control with three settings;
ALC: Aprilia Launch Control, for use on the track only, with 3 settings;

The 2012 Aprilia RSV4 R APRC ABS is a great choice for those in search of a liter-class bike, but who are not exactly that keen on riding a SBK replica. Retaining the full massive power and the advanced electronics package, this motorcycle also boasts ABS, and the acclaimed maneuverability.

However, the RSV4 R APRC ABS loses the adjustable chassis WSBK-grade machinery sports. The steering damper is present, and it now comes from Sachs.  Powerful, race-grade Brembo brakes are also in place. And with this bike you'll spend less time tweaking and more time riding.

The 2014 MY Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC sports a four-stroke, liquid-cooled V4 engine producing 184 horsepower and 117 Nm of torque. It comes with the proven Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC), derived from award-winning experience in the Superbike series. The APRC includes the ATC, a traction control system with 8 settings that can be selected easily from a joystick on the left handlebar, the AWC, a three-setting wheelie control and the ALC, a 3-setting launch control, usable only in race mode on the track.

The Aprilia RSV4 is available for purchase in Classic Black Matte/ Competition Black Matte and a new Formula Red livery.

The 2015 MY Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC ABS is powered by a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 65-degree, 999.6cc V4, which produces 184 horsepower and an impressive 117 Nm of torque. ABS is standard in this model and has been designed by the house of Noale in close cooperation with Bosch to offer increased rider safety when on the road, and more race-like performance if one decides to take it for a track Sunday.

Another feature on the RSV4 is the proven Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC), which allows the rider to preset his two-wheeler to accommodate a wide variety of scenarios, thanks to many electronic systems derived straight from the race track. The APRC incudes: Aprilia Traction Control(ATC), Aprilia Wheelie Control(AWC), Aprilia Launch Control(ALC) and Aprilia Quick Shift(AQS).

The 2015 My Aprilia RSV4 RF comes as a limited edition to the new RSV4 RR. Limited to only 500 units, it comes standard with the previously optional Race Pack, and a dedicated graphic styling called "Superpole".

On the tech/engine side, it sports the same four-stroke, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder 999cc V4. Also, it has all the technologies of the base RR version, including APRC and the newly designed "Race ABS".

The RF version of the RSV4 was presented at Eicma 2016, earns new and more sophisticated suspension systems with fine adjustments both in hydraulics and spring preload: the fork is a latest generation Ohlins NIX unit, as is the TTX shock absorber; the latter is operated by new progressive linkage that increases the reaction time of the shock absorber itself.
