2007 Aprilia Sonic 50

The Aprilia Sonic 50 was a single cylinder, two-stroke scooter produced between 1999 and 2008. It could reach a top speed of 30 mph (48 km/h).

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 40.0mm bore x 39.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.3 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 12.5:1 compression ratio.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a automatic transmission. The final drive was via belt.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100/90-10 front tire and a 100/90-10 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. caliper with two opposing ø 32 mm pistons in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a hydraulic fork; ø 27 mm stanchions while the rear was equiped with a engine acting as swingarm, attached to the frame by rising rate linkages on 2 radial and 2 axial vibration dampers. rising rate monoshock; ø 50.5 mm spring. The Sonic 50 was fitted with a 2.11 Gallon (8.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 160.94 pounds (73.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 46.26 inches (1175 mm) long.
