The Ariel HT5500 Trials was a single cylinder, four-stroke Classic motorcycle produced by Ariel between 1956 and 1960. Claimed horsepower was 24.41 HP (18.2 KW) @ 6000 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).

The bike has a 4-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 2.75-21 front tire and a 4.00-19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a swing arm, hydraulic dampers. The bike weighed just 291.01 pounds (132.0 Kg).

This classic off-road machine comes standard with a front telescopic fork, dual shocks as a rear suspension, a drum braking system, laced wheels with knobby tires mounted on them, a single seat, mid-mounted foot pegs and a blacked-out frame.
