The Ariel LH200 Colt was a single cylinder, four-stroke Classic motorcycle produced by Ariel between 1954 and 1959. It could reach a top speed of 62 mph (100 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 9.79 HP (7.3 KW) @ 5600 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 60.0mm bore x 70.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 197.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 4-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the two-plate clutch.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 2.75-19 front tire and a 2.75-19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The 1959 Ariel LH 200 Colt sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 197cc, single cylinder powerplant mated to a four-speed manual transmission. In addition, it comes standard with laced wheels, full-coverage fenders, a dual seat, rear, plunger-type shocks, wide handlebars, mid-mounted foot controls, a small exhaust system, a large headlight, a telescopic front fork and an 11-liter (2.9-gallon) fuel tank.
