Based on the G 310 R, the new G310 GS features much of the same technologies and hardware, including a 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces a claimed 34 hp and features a backward-tilted cylinder and cylinder head rotated by 180 degrees. This configuration lends itself to a lower center of gravity and gets more weight toward the front wheel.

The BMW G310 GS was a Single cylinder, four-stroke, liquid cooled, Naked motorcycle produced by BMW in 2017. Max torque was 20.65 ft/lbs (28.0 Nm) @ 7500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 34.06 HP (25.4 KW) @ 9500 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

A 78.7mm bore x 78.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 313.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a Gears transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-disc.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 110/80 R19 front tire and a 150/70 R17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc 300 mm in the front and a Single disc 240 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Inverted fork while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm in aluminum alloy, monoshock absorber adjustable in preload. The wheelbase was 55.98 inches (1422 mm) long.

2017 BMW G310 GS[edit | edit source]

Based on the G 310 R, the new G310 GS features much of the same technologies and hardware, including a 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces a claimed 34 hp and features a backward-tilted cylinder and cylinder head rotated by 180 degrees. This configuration lends itself to a lower center of gravity and gets more weight toward the front wheel.
