The BMW K1200RS was a single cylinder, four-stroke Sport/Touring motorcycle produced by BMW between 1997 and 2005. It could reach a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h). Max torque was 86.3 ft/lbs (117.0 Nm) @ 6750 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 126.06 HP (94.0 KW) @ 8750 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 70.5mm bore x 75.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1171.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the single-disc dry clutch, hydraulically operated.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 180/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a bmw motorrad telelever while the rear was equipped with a die-cast aluminium single-sided swinging arm with bmw motorrad paralever. The K1200RS was fitted with a 5.42 Gallon (20.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 586.43 pounds (266.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 61.02 inches (1550 mm) long.
