The BMW K 1300 S 30th Anniversary Edition was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by BMW in 2013. Max torque was 103.26 ft/lbs (140.0 Nm) @ 8250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 172.99 HP (129.0 KW) @ 9250 RPM. It could reach a top speed of 276.6 km/h / 171.9 mph.

A 78.7mm bore x 78.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1298.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 ZR 17 front tire and a 190/55 ZR 17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320 mm floating discs, 4-piston fixed calipers in the front and a single 265 mm disc, 2-piston floating caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Duolever while the rear was equipped with a Paralever. The K 1300 S 30th Anniversary Edition was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 62.4 inches (1585 mm) long.

2013 BMW K 1300 S 30th Anniversary Edition[edit | edit source]

To celebrate 30 years since the first K series was launched, the K 100, the House of Munich has launched the 2013 MY K 1300 S 30th Anniversary Edition. This machine boasts standard technologies such as Electronic Suspension Adjustment II (ESA II), Tyre Pressure Control (RDC), Automatic Stability Control (ASC), ABS, a HP shift assistant, an on-board computer, as well as high-end parts such as heated grips, HP footrests for both the rider and the passenger and an Akrapovic exhaust, as well as a special, white/red/black paint scheme.

In the engine department it sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, fuel-injected, 1298cc, transverse four cylinder powerplant mated to a six-speed manual transmission, that can reach a maximum power output of 173 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque.
