The engine was a liquid cooled in-line six, four-stroke. A 72.0mm bore x 67.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1649.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiple-disc clutch in oil bath.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 190/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. four-piston calipers. in the front and a single disc. abs. two-piston calipers. in the rear. The front suspension was a bmw motorrad duolever while the rear was equipped with a bmw motorrad paralever. The K1600 Grand America was fitted with a 7.0 Gallon (26.50 Liters) fuel tank.
