Engine
A 71.1mm bore x 71.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1649.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive
The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Multiple-disc clutch in oil bath.

It came with a 120/70 ZR 17 front tire and a 190/55 ZR 17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual disc brake, diameter 320 mm, 4-piston fixed calipers in the front and a Single disc brake, diameter 320 mm, double-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a  BMW Motorrad Duolever; central spring strut while the rear was equipped with a BMW Motorrad Paralever. The K 1600B was fitted with a 1.85 Gallon (7.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 63.7 inches (1618 mm) long.

The K 1600 GT-based bagger gets a new rear section for a lower, more stretched-out look and updated side bags that are claimed to have a deeper body. The B’s spec sheet suggests that the seat is non-adjustable (as it is on the GT), but BMW does say that the seat height is significantly lower, especially for the passenger (the rear end is a claimed 2.75 inches lower).
