The BMW R 100 was a air-cooled, four-stroke, two cylinder boxer, 2 valves per cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by BMW between 1980 and 1984. It could reach a top speed of 119 mph (191 km/h). Max torque was 53.11 ft/lbs (72.0 Nm) @ 5500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 67.05 HP (50.0 KW) @ 7000 RPM.

Engine[edit]

The engine was a air cooled air-cooled, four-stroke, two cylinder boxer, 2 valves per cylinder. A 94.0mm bore x 94.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 980.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).

Drive[edit]

The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, single plate.

Chassis[edit]

It came with a 3.25 - H19 front tire and a 4.00 - H18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 260mm disc in the front and a 200mm drum in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic hydraulic fork while the rear was equipped with a dual adjustable shocks. The R 100 was fitted with a 6.34 Gallon (24.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 57.72 inches (1466 mm) long.
