The BMW R1150GS Adventure was a two cylinder boxer, four-stroke Adventure motorcycle produced by BMW between 1999 and 2005. It could reach a top speed of 119 mph (192 km/h). Max torque was 72.28 ft/lbs (98.0 Nm) @ 5250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 82.07 HP (61.2 KW) @ 6750 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a oil & air cooled two cylinder boxer, four-stroke. A 101.0mm bore x 70.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1130.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the single-disc dry clutch, hydraulically operated.

Chassis

It came with a 110/80-zr19 front tire and a 150/70-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a double disc in the rear. The front suspension was a bmw motorrad telelever while the rear was equipped with a die-cast aluminium single-sided swinging arm with bmw motorrad paralever. The R1150GS Adventure was fitted with a 5.84 Gallon (22.10 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 511.47 pounds (232.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.09 inches (1501 mm) long.
