The BMW R 1200 CL was a air-cooled, four-stroke, 1170cc, boxer twin cylinder, 4 valves per cylinder Touring motorcycle produced by BMW between 2001 and 2006. It could reach a top speed of 103 mph (165 km/h). Max torque was 72.28 ft/lbs (98.0 Nm) @ 3000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 61.02 HP (45.5 KW) @ 5000 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a oil & air cooled air-cooled, four-stroke, 1170cc, boxer twin cylinder, 4 valves per cylinder. A 101.6mm bore x 101.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1170.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, single plate, hydraulic.

Chassis

It came with a 100/90-18 front tire and a 170/80-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 305mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 285mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear.
