The BMW R 6 was a air-cooled, four-stroke, twin cylinder, side valve Classic motorcycle produced by BMW in 1938. Claimed horsepower was 17.97 HP (13.4 KW) @ 4500 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

A 71.1mm bore x 71.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 600.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 4-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, single plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.00 x 19 front tire and a 3.50 x 19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 200mm drum in the front and a 200mm drum in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a hard-tail, sprung seat. The R 6 was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank.

The BMW R 6 was powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, 600cc, twin cylinder powerhouse paired to a four-speed manual transmission that can produce 18 horsepower at 4500 rpm. It comes with a telescopic front fork, a hard-tail suspension in the rear, a sprung seat, a chromed exhaust with a large-diameter muffler, a large headlight, full-fenders, wide handlebars, a drum braking system, a center stand, and a rear luggage rack.
