The BMW R61 was a two cylinder boxer, four-stroke Classic motorcycle produced by BMW between 1938 and 1941. It could reach a top speed of 71 mph (115 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 17.57 HP (13.1 KW) @ 4800 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled two cylinder boxer, four-stroke. A 70.0mm bore x 78.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 600.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).

Drive

The bike has a 4-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the dry-single plate-cable operated.

Chassis

It also comes with a single, sprung seat, wide handlebars, a large headlamp, a rear luggage rack, laced wheels, a telescopic front fork, plunger shocks in the rear, a front drum brake coupled to an external shoe brake at the gearing on cardan shaft and a dry, single plate clutch.
