The BMW R65LS was a two cylinder boxer, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by BMW between 1982 and 1984. It could reach a top speed of 109 mph (175 km/h). Max torque was 38.36 ft/lbs (52.0 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 48.95 HP (36.5 KW) @ 7250 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled two cylinder boxer, four-stroke. A 82.0mm bore x 61.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 649.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, single plate.

Chassis

It came with a 3.25-18 front tire and a 4.00-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a expanding brake in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a dual shocks. The R65LS was fitted with a 5.81 Gallon (22.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 55.12 inches (1400 mm) long.
