The BMW R 80 G/S Paris Dakar was a air-cooled, four-stroke, boxer twin cylinder, 2 valves per cylidner Road motorcycle produced by BMW in 1984. Max torque was 42.04 ft/lbs (57.0 Nm) @ 5000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 50.02 HP (37.3 KW) @ 6500 RPM.

The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, two cylinder horizontally opposed Boxer, pushrod operated 2 valves per cylinder.. The engine featured a 9.2:1 compression ratio.

Drive[edit | edit source]

Power was moderated via the Dry single plate, with diaphragm spring.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.00 - 21 front tire and a 4.00 - 18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single ∅260mm disc in the front and a ∅200mm Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic hydraulic forks. while the rear was equipped with a Monolever swinging arm.. The R 80G/S Paris Dakar was fitted with a 32 L / 8.4 US gal fuel tank. The wheelbase was 1465 mm / 67.6 in long.
