The BMW R 63 was a air-cooled, four-stroke, vertical single cylinder Classic motorcycle produced by BMW in 1929. Claimed horsepower was 24.0 HP (17.9 KW) @ 3400 RPM.

Engine
A 83.8mm bore x 83.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 745.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive
The bike has a 3-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, single plate.

Chassis
It came with a 26 x 3.5 front tire and a 26 x 3.5 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 200mm drum in the front and a external shoe brake at the gearing on the cardan shaft in the rear. The front suspension was a  plate spring fork while the rear was equipped with a hard-tail, sprung seat.
